Amelia Earhart Lands In Ireland

Here is another interesting historical coincidence from The People History.  On May 21, 1932, five years to the day after Charles Lindbergh landed in Paris to become the first man to fly non-stop across the Atlantic Ocean, Amelia Earhart became the first woman to make a solo flight across the Atlantic.  Perhaps weather conditions made that time of the year ideal for such a flight.
